Vision Systems

Vision inspection technologies utilize cameras and other visual equipment to provide rapid and automated analysis of products during the manufacturing process. This inspection often serves as a means of real-time quality assurance – reviewing products for flaws, contaminants, or other defects during production. Visual technologies can detect a wide range of parameters, including evaluation of component placement, color verification, and size measurement verifications.

The role of cameras in quality assurance is paramount to automated production, particularly in industries where parts cannot be tested before use, or defective products pose great risk. Machine inspection is significantly faster than human review and can often detect flaws or irregularities that would have escaped the human eye. Additionally, due to the ease of integrating cameras directly into automated systems, verifications can be made at nearly all steps of production for all parts.

At PROD, we utilize visual technologies in nearly all our machines. With a dedicated vision lab staffed by a specialized engineering team, PROD evaluates a range of cameras, lenses, lighting conditions, and other factors to ensure that the final solution provides robust, accurate, and reliable visual information.
