Motion Application

Motion application consists of a wide range of systems that perform mechanical manipulation. Implementation of these functions range from servos to robots, and requires proper sizing and integration to ensure components are able to operate with precision and speed. Due to the dynamic nature of motion applications, care must be taken to ensure that unnecessary wear or movement does not adversely impact the longevity of equipment.

PROD designs each motion application with great attention to both the desired outcome and the overall design of the machine. As each implement is calibrated to operate at a precise speed and within a highly specific range of motion, PROD engineers perform various analyses to evaluate the impact of different variables (mass, material, positioning) on the intended movement. Implements are also selected to ensure cohesion with other critical components, with consideration given to how a particular implement may adversely impact or otherwise interfere with the operations of other integrated technologies.
